What is Organizational Design?
Organizational Design is related to the formation of formal, and informal structures, processes, and systems of an organization. The organizational design is there to accomplish the objectives that align the mission, and visions using various strategies.
The objective of the organizational goal is to adapt to the organizational changes, incorporate evolution, ensure flexibility in decision making, and collaborate with the organizational components. It also ensures the availability of required information to the people and the organization.
It is highly influenced by the environment, size, technology, and strategies an organization consume as well as the organization's lifecycle and culture.
It makes structural choices(specialization, grouping, coordination, standardization, centralization, decentralization, etc) and process-related choices(info processing, control of the system and individual vs team performances, etc).
It helps by handling contingencies, managing diversity, providing clarity, motivating employees, etc.
